This is a full cross cut from a 4-10 thousand year old walrus tusk. The contrasting dark colors on the edge next to the creamy, light center makes for a eye catcher! It is a trim piece (1 3/4 inch long X 1 1/4 wide) on a 4 strand leather braid that is done by hand by our favorite leather folks in Taos New Mexico. At the bottom of the braid are 2 hand turned beads of tusk as well.
